   
 |  |  |   Dr. Harry A. Raddin, Jr., a lifelong resident of Richmond, received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Hampden-Sydney College. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia and, graduating in the top of his class, was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Honorary Dental Society. Dr. Raddin continued his postgraduate study at the University of Kentuckys Albert Chandler Medical Center, receiving a Master of Science in Dentistry while completing his residency in Orthodontics. Dr. Raddin went a step beyond in also achieving recognition as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and its College of Diplomates. Dr. Raddin has been in the specialty practice of Orthodontics in Richmond since 1975. Dr. Raddin has a lovely wife and three children. His eldest daughter is a Pharmacist, his younger daughter is an accomplished free lance artist, and his son is in Medical School. Dr. Raddin served on the postgraduate Presbyterian School of Christian Education's Board of Trustees for many years, and since its merger with Union Theological Seminary, currently sits on the President's Advisory Council. Dr Raddin is an avid snow skier and sailor, having sailed the North Atlantic Ocean from Nantucket to Key West, and extensively in the Caribbean.
  Dr. James M. Keeton, Jr., is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors. He completed his internship at Queens General Hospital in New York City before returning to Kentucky for a two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Keeton joined the practice of Drs. Shocket and Horwitz in 1975. Dr. Keeton is currently an Associate Professor in Pediatric Dentistry at the College of Dentistry of Virginia Commonwealth University where he has served as a part time faculty member for the past 27 years. He is President of the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, which serves the 11 states of the Southeast. He is a past president of the Virginia Pediatric Dental Association as well as a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dental Association. Dr. Keeton and his wife, Gloria, have 3 children that all live in Richmond. He loves to hunt and fish and has a love-hate relationship with golf.
  Dr. Meera A. Gokli is a dedicated Richmonder. She attended the University of Richmond where she received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry, graduating with honors. She went to dental school and served her pediatric dental residency at the Medical College of Virginia. She then proceeded to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a pediatric dentist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty and has become board certified. Dr. Gokli is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Virginia Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeast Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is past president for the Virginia Society of Pediatric Dentistry and is presently representing the state of Virginia for the Southeast Pediatric Dental Society. She has also been an Assistant Clinical Instructor at MCV/VCU dental school since 1992. Dr. Gokli has been married to the same wonderful gentleman for over twenty years and has two beautiful children. She also loves cooking (and has written a cookbook for her temple) and traveling.
  Dr. April Bridges-Poquis is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia, where she majored in chemistry with specialization in biochemistry. She went to dental school at the Medical College of Virginia, where she graduated number two in her class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Honorary Dental Society. While in dental school, Dr. Bridges-Poquis was the recipient of sixteen honors and awards, including the American Association of Orthodontists Award for exceptional interest in the development of the Oro-Facial complex. Dr. Bridges-Poquis then completed an additional two years of post-graduate training, serving her orthodontic residency at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Bridges-Poquis has published an abstract in the Journal of Dental Research, and has published a case report in the Angle Journal of Orthodontics. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Southeast Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Bridges-Poquis and her husband, Dr. Greg Poquis, a general dentist practicing in Richmond, enjoy living in Richmond with their Yorkshire terrier, Katie. Her hobbies include running, playing the flute, and reading. Dr. Bridges-Poquis is also a big fan of UVA Football and the Redskins.
  Dr. Steve Lubbe began working in a dental office at approximately ten years of age when he started helping his father, also a pediatric dentist, with small jobs around the office. "Working with the teeth of children, young adults, and special needs patients seems very natural for me because Ive observed and participated in Pediatric Dentistry for most of my life." Dr. Lubbe attended Centre College in Danville, Kentucky before attending the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He was awarded several academic scholarships, was elected into OKU, the national dental honor society, and graduated in the top 5 of his class. He attended the University of Kentucky for 2 more years completing his residency in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Lubbe is married to Rhonda Lubbe and they recently had their first child, Evan. The Lubbes also have three wonderful dogs, Toby, Copper, and Lady Bug. | |
