Dear Patients,

We at PDOVA want to let you know that your health and safety is and always will be our highest priority. We wanted to reach out to keep you informed about the measures we have been taking to keep you and your family safe from infectious disease, including the novel coronovirus COVID-19.

What Measures Have We Always Been Taking?

Like all physicians and dentists, we practice “standard precautions”. This means every patient is treated as if they may have an infectious disease. We wear masks, gloves, and eyewear. These precautions keep every patient and team member safe. We sterilize all instruments and sanitize the patient treatment areas. Any PDOVA team member who is sick or running a fever will not come into work. We have all been instructed on proper handwashing and covering all coughs (even allergies!) with masks or tissues.

For the safety and comfort of our patients and families in the waiting area, we also sanitize the waiting room and front desk using a disinfectant formulated to kill coronovirus, influenza, norovirus, and other germs twice a day. We have always been doing this.

WHAT IS NEW?

We ask that you call us at 804-739-0963 to reschedule your appointment if:

1) You have a fever or respiratory symptoms like cough or shortness of breath

2) You have been in contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19

3) You or a person you have been in close contact with has been running a fever or showing respiratory symptoms like cough or shortness of breath within the past 14 days

4) You have been out of the country in an area affected by COVID-19 in the last month.

We want you to know that your safety is our highest priority and we take your trust in us very seriously. These precautions will help ensure that Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics of Virginia remains a safe place for all of our patients, family, and staff.

Thank you.
